$13.8M will be dedicated to the production of drinking water. Among others, the Chèvrefils water production station will be expanded to increase its output capacity. The city has earmarked $41.1M for waste water and rain water, $30M of which will be used to separate the two underground networks.

 Roadway Investments

In terms of the road network, the administration intends to invest $56M, primarily to redesign the entrance to the city ($22M), to resurface pavement ($12M) and to expand the Industrial Park ($10M) which will include a new road south of Highway 30.

Parks and pool

Building a new indoor pool is also part of the program. The city’s estimated portion of that bill is $14M. A sum of $8.2M will also be dedicated to developing the city’s parks. The linear project the length of the Hydro-Québec right-of-way, which will include a footbridge over the Châteauguay River, will require $5.9M in investments. The 2024-2026 expenditures program specifies that $34M of the $175.4M will come from grants and contributions.
